Student Accommodation Manager of the Year

This award is for someone that has delivered exceptionally across the full range of Student Accommodation services. The judges in this category will be looking for examples of:

  • Excellent Hospitality and Customer Service
  • An innovative and forward-thinking approach to Building Management
  • Champion of Student Relationship development
  • Excellence in sales
  • Legacy of achievements
  • Demonstrating impact on Sector of Growth

Assistant Accommodation Manager of the Year

This award is for someone that has delivered exceptionally across the full range of Student Accommodation services. The judges in this category will be looking for examples of:

  • Excellent Hospitality and Customer Service
  • An innovative and forward-thinking approach to Building Management
  • Demonstrated excellence in support to the Student Accommodation manager
  • Evidence of contributing to overall team success

Most Innovative Sales Approach

The sectors growth and competition for room occupancy has meant the need for more diverse and innovative sales approaches. The judges will be looking for campaigns that stand out and will be looking for examples of:

  • A clear and well thought out strategy and proven execution
  • Breaking down barriers against the traditional way of selling rooms
  • Track record of sales from this sales approach and demonstration of ROI

Outstanding Customer Service

The heart of the sector is its customer and this award looks to recognise the company or individual that has done the most to engage their customer in the past year. The judges will be looking for:

  • Continued/unrelenting excellent job performance
  • Contributions to the unit and/or University resulting in, for example increased efficiency, increased quality of service, cost savings, or successful crisis management
  • Significant contribution to a major unit project or operations
  • Special service to the unit and/or its occupants

Site Team of the year

The Site Team of the Year category aims to recognise the best collective effort of excellence on one or multiple sites or projects. The judges will be looking for:

  • Ability to benefit the students through effective teamwork
  • Events, projects, campaigns that demonstrate excellence in quality and innovation
  • Principles that underpin this team to make them a great success
  • Evidence of client retention and growth

Student Event of the year

The student experience is all about events and this company/person/team will have created an event that demonstrates an understanding, engagement and innovation within the student community. The judges will be looking for:

  • An innovative idea to bring your student community together
  • Successful hosting of the event, with strong attendance and engagement with the event.
  • Clear commercial return and strategy behind running the event and evidence of this.
  • The lasting impression it left with the community you put the event on for and Return on Investment

Charity partnership of the year

Charity Partnerships are an important part of the social responsibility Student Accommodation companies display. The judges will be looking for:

  • An in-depth detailing of the partnership, with clear goals for the partnership.
  • Originality and innovative nature of the project, event, campaign or partnership – please include relevance to the work of the charity.
  • Achievements made and how the success was measured
